Very very clean, in walking distance to the most fabulous restaurant which has character great waiters and chefs, all locals go there and you may have to Q to get in but it’s worth it.

PART ONE: **Review:** I had the unfortunate experience of staying at this motel in Monterey last week, and it was easily the worst place my friend and I have ever stayed. We were completely deceived by the property’s website and our booking platform, as the actual conditions of the motel were horrendous. From the moment we walked into our room, it was clear that cleanliness was not a priority. There were multiple holes in the bedsheets and bedding, and at least four lightbulbs in the room were out, leaving the space dim and uninviting. To make matters worse, we discovered feces stains on the bathroom walls and floor—a disgusting and inexcusable oversight by housekeeping. As if that wasn’t enough, sand was scattered all over the floors when we first entered, making us question whether the room had even been cleaned before our arrival. One of the key reasons we booked this motel was the promise of a guaranteed parking space per room, as stated on the website. However, each night we stayed, there were no parking spaces available, leaving us stranded with a rental car. This was incredibly distressing, especially for two women traveling alone and unfamiliar with the area. When we sought help from the motel staff, a woman who came out in her pajamas was of no assistance at all. She didn’t help us secure a spot, and we were left to park behind another car, which required us to knock on multiple doors just to find the owner. The check-in process was equally disappointing. We were greeted with little more than a request for our license plate number—no warmth, no information, just a cold transaction. The lack of genuine hospitality made us feel like we were just another number, not valued guests.
